Hello boys and girls,
Finally a new message for you and a healthy sign of life from COLINN.
From June through September the band enjoyed a well deserved holiday but also spent time on creating new songs and rehearsing with a new drummer. Yes, that´s right. On 25th October we will play a farewell gig with current hard hitting drummer Matthijs in his hometown Tilburg.
A try-out gig with the new hard hitting drummer Steven van Olphen (see also www.kleazer.com) will bring us again to the Frisian birth grounds of the twin brothers.
Some winds of change are happening so keep an eye on our website and social pages to stay informed. You can expect new gigs and new song material in 2012.

Cath the summer (festival) breeze

COLINN. surely made an impression on the Bevrijdingsfestival in Zwolle last week. Check 3voor12 for a raving review. You can find stunning pictures made by Andries de Jong in our gallery.
Catch that summer breeze and enjoy the sun. COLINN. will play some more outdoor festivals. You can find us on the main stage of the BAM festival in Hengelo on 21st May. First gig will already be this Saturday for KCO’s De Doorbraak in Kampen.
COLINN. plays Bevrijdingsfestival Zwolle

Hi Girls & Boys,
The festival season started for us @ Taaipop last week. A short 30 minute set featuring a brand new COLINN. song was welcomed enthousiasticaly by the crowd.
Well the season has just started but next gig will be a big one. On 5th May you can see and hear us on the Bevrijdingsfestival in Zwolle. This festival will feature bands like Moke, Ilse de Lange and Dazzled Kid. You can catch us @ “De Doorbraak” stage around 21:05.

Beachbattle

Hi There,
Yesterday evening we played the semi-final of the Beachbattle. A great opportunity to see some old HSSLHFF friends in Den Haag because many of them were there to support us. Thank you guys and dolls 
We won the judges’ vote and certainly made a good impression but just missed the #1 position because we had one or two audience votes less than the winning band.
In Dutch you find below the review which you can read in full length on www.beachbattle.com:
“COLINN overtrof mijn verwachtingen. Met een stem klinkende als Dolores O’Riordan in combinatie van zeer bedreven bandleden was het plaatje compleet. Er werd erg strak gespeeld en lekker alternatief zoals het hoort te klinken. De gitarist experimenteerde flink met zijn Nord Modular gekoppeld aan zijn gitaar. Het doet mij zeer deugd dit soort gitaristen op podium bezig te zien. (…)Al ging de jury voor COLINN, was het eindresultaat ,het jury oordeel met daarbij opgeteld de publieksstem, 27 Ways To Win.”

COLINN. & CORDS + new song material + great review

Boys & Girls
This first month of 2011 started with a big bang for COLINN. The first gig of the year was with our dear musical friend Thozes in Eindhoven and last Friday we had the pleasure to support the fabulous Cords in Atak, Enschede.
It’s really a flying start for us. This weekend we were not only gigging but also recording four new songs. This demo recording session will be the start of more new material to come. We’ll let you know later when you can check these rockin’ new tunes.
Meanwhile our debut EP still receives great reviews. If you check out this month’s Dutch Fret magazine you can read that our music get’s you hooked for at least a year. Obviously it’s that addictive. Read the full review here (on page 67).

Olá hermanos/hermanas!
We hope you have had a great Christmas. At least we had. We ended our year with a gig on Dutch national radio station 3FM. We played the famous hallway and peformed our song Remedy.

Hi kids!
After 2 gigs in Hengelo we finished our short tour for this year. The last show was really special featuring our dear musical friend Thozes on keys and guitar.
It’s been already a very hectic first gig season with some great highlights for COLINN. Next year more gigs will follow as you can see in our gig list. We especially look forward to support the Cords in Enschede.
If you want to hear us on KinkFM you can vote now until Friday.

Trip down memory lane

Salut!
COLINN. has been very busy last 2 weekends. Gigs brought them across the country from up north to the west coast. A real trip down memory lane for the twins seeing lots of old musical friends.
First gig was in Drachten last week. Some great pictures by Marieke Gras can be found in our Gallery.
This weekend we did a great show in Scheveningen/Den Haag. People there had a first change to see one of HSSLHFF’s afterlives. A great debut in The Hague Rock City where we let the crowd go wild and in the meantime won the band contest. So we will come back to Scheveningen on 19th February. You better be there to support and vote for us during the semi-finals!
Keep your eyes and ears open. COLINN. will be coming to your neighbourhood.

Final Countdown for Shower Of Hail…?

Please check www.free40.nl and you will see that our song Shower Of Hail has entered the Top10 of the Dutch Indie Chart. COLINN. keeps on rockin and we can announce some more gigs. First of all we will support the great Dutch band Cords at Atak in Enschede on 28th January.
Also the first festivals for next year are pending. Everything is still under option but it looks like we’re going to play Bevrijdingsfestival in Zwolle and the BAM festival in Hengelo.
